Heat oil and then add onion, elachi, turmeric & spices to fry for a few seconds (allow onion to soften - cook on low to medium heat and let the onions brown gently) @payal - absolutely delicious. @Shad: you can replace coriander with parseley (like payal said), Tarragon, dill or a combination of these. Marinate mutton with the salt, ginger garlic, turmeric, chilli powder and curd. Yogurt & ginger garlic paste are natural meat tenderizers so they make the mutton succulent.

- Add chopped tomatoes, spices and marinated mutton. Cook for 15 min on medium flame.
- Add water, cover the dekchi and let it simmer for 20 min.
- Add water to achieve required consistency of the gravy.
- Garnish and serve with rice and salad.
