  3. Warm the honey in the microwave for 20 seconds on medium.
  4. Add the lemon juice to the milk in a jug. Add the honey and stir well.
  5. Make a well in the flour mix and pour in milk/ honey mix. Use your hands to mix until it forms a dough. It should be soft and quite sticky at this point.
  6. Place your ball of dough onto a greased baking tray. Cut a cross into the top of the dough and sprinkle it with a handful of oats.
  7. Cook in a pre-heated oven at 200 for 25 minutes until browned. If the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom then it is cooked. If not, turn down the oven to 160 and leave for a further 10 minutes. When cooked, wrap in a clean tea towel to cool before slicing.

Take it out onto cooling rack and leave to cool slightly before you slice into it. Grind oatmeal in a food processor or blender. In a large bowl, combine oatmeal, flour, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, dissolve honey in vegetable oil then stir in the milk. It is incredible that you can make homemade bread start to finish in one hour.
